Licensing Your Content on Lumi

When creating educational materials on Lumi, one fundamental principle applies: you own everything you create.

Full Ownership of Your Work

All content you design, build, and publish on Lumi—whether it’s interactive exercises, lesson materials, or complete learning modules—remains entirely yours. Lumi does not claim ownership over your creations. This ensures that you retain full control over how your work is used, shared, or distributed.

Freedom to Use and Share

Because you are the sole owner of your content, you are free to:

  • Use it in your classroom or institution without restrictions

  • Share it with colleagues, students, or the wider educational community

  • Export and host it on other platforms

  • Adapt or modify it at any time

There are no hidden limitations imposed by Lumi on how your content can be reused.

Commercial Use Is Allowed

Importantly, Lumi places no restrictions on commercial use of your content. This means you can:

  • Sell your materials (e.g., as courses, resources, or licenses)

  • Include them in paid training programs

  • Offer them as part of subscription-based learning platforms

Whether you want to share your work openly or build a business around it—that decision is entirely yours.

Your Responsibility as a Creator

While you own your content, you are responsible for ensuring that anything you include (such as images, texts, or videos from third parties) complies with applicable copyright and licensing rules. Using openly licensed or original material is always the safest approach.

A Platform That Respects Creators

Lumi is designed to empower educators and creators—not to lock them into restrictive ecosystems. By ensuring full ownership and flexibility, Lumi supports both open educational practices and entrepreneurial use cases.
