Linked Accounts

Account linking lets you connect social sign-in providers — such as Google, GitHub, Apple, or Microsoft — to your Lumi account. Once linked, you can use any of your connected methods to sign in, without needing to remember separate passwords.

Supported Sign-in Methods

You can link any of the following identity providers to your account:

  • Google

  • GitHub

  • Apple

  • Microsoft

  • Eduplaces

How to Link an Account

  1. Go to Account Settings from your dashboard.

  2. Click the Linked Accounts tab.

  3. Find the provider you want to add and click Link.

  4. You will be redirected to the provider's sign-in page.

  5. Sign in or authorize the connection.

  6. You will be returned to the Linked Accounts page — the provider will now show as Connected.

How to Unlink an Account

  1. Go to Account Settings → Linked Accounts.

  2. Find the connected provider you want to remove.

  3. Click Unlink.

  4. Confirm the action in the dialog that appears.

The provider will be removed and can no longer be used to sign in.

Important: You Cannot Remove Your Last Sign-in Method

If a provider is your only way to sign in (you have no password set), you will not be able to unlink it. Doing so would lock you out of your account.

To unlink your last connected provider, first set a password on your account (under Account Settings → Security). Once a password is set, you can safely unlink the provider.

Troubleshooting

I was redirected back with an error during linking. This can happen if you denied permission on the provider's page, or if the session expired. Try again — click Link and complete the authorization on the provider's page.

The "Unlink" button is not available. You are likely trying to remove your only sign-in method. Set a password first under Security settings, then return to Linked Accounts to unlink.

My linked provider does not appear after connecting. The list updates automatically after a successful link. If it does not appear, refresh the page. If the issue persists, try linking again.
